If you’re interested in adding a home extension, but worried about the length of time it may take to complete, you need not be. Planet South Lakes promises to install its conservatories and orangeries in time for Christmas. Meaning a stress free time for you and your family.

Planet South Lakes offer a large range of conservatory designs, including the classic Edwardian and Victorian designs, ranging to the rectangular shaped lean-to and unique p-shaped designs. Each design is bespoke, meaning that it will be tailor made and manufactured to your exact specifications. There are industry professionals to help with this process and design programs to show the conservatory before it’s been made.

Planet South Lakes also offer a range of orangeries. These are similar to a conservatory in principle, but differ due to the percentage of glazing used and the extensive design options available. The range of orangeries offer a contemporary design, creating a lighter space. These are often used as home offices or dining rooms to make a fantastic center piece to any home.

Every detail has been considered to ensure the conservatories are top quality and last for many, many years.

Orangeries are a modern extension to a home. They have been developed with the success of modern conservatories. Both offer a contemporary feel to any home.

Orangeries are bespoke, which means they every design is tailor made. They are designed for your needs and manufactured to your exact specifications. Obviously this can be slightly daunting, but with reputable companies there will be industry professionals to help you through the design process.

The pricing is fairly similar to that of a Conservatory, being perhaps slightly more expensive. However the features offered definitely deserve a further look.

Orangery

One issue with a conservatory is that at times it can sometimes feel like a glass room built on to the end of your home. An orangery creates an extremely light and airy room, which feels like a unique extension of your house.

Planet South Lakes offer a range of Conservatories and Orangeries and have been a leading force in the sales of Orangeries all across the UK. That’s because we believe in building a home extension that truly meets people’s wants and needs. A lot of people today want a more modern extension, which is exactly what Orangeries provide.

For more information of the range of Conservatories and Orangeries ring us on 0800 612 2255 or look around our website for a detailed description and pictures of all of our products.

The following we received in a letter and typed up to add to the website as a testimonial:

Dear Planet South Lakes,

It has been a pleasure doing business with you and we are grateful that you were able to fit us in to your busy schedule.

Could you please also pass on our thanks to David, who has helped a lot along the way. His professionalism and the service he offered was brilliant. It’s unfortunately not that common these days to find the sort of service that all of you gave us.

Our Conservatory looks fantastic. My husband and myself have enjoyed relaxing in the evenings and we are very happy to have done business with you. We’ve got plans for an extension to our new house, as we’re looking to sell this property now it has a conservatory fitted (we’ve found that it helps with the selling). We’ll be back for a quote for an extension to the new house soon.

Best Wishes
Barbara and Bob Viller

Conservatory Outlet, a leading supplier of uPVC Conservatories, windows and doors in the UK, has added a blog to its website to keep consumers updated with latest news, advice and articles. Planet South Lakes are a Conservatory Outlet dealer covering Wales.

Matthew Glover, the Managing director of Conservatory Outlet, stated, “We’re continuously developing our online presence by adding more and more high quality content to our website. By adding the conservatory blog section we are able to quickly and easily add up to date information in a search engine friendly format.”

And this strategy is paying off!

They’ve taken on an online copywriter, whose role is to research information relating to conservatories, orangeries, double glazed windows and doors. By working closely with key managers at the company, he is able to find out the very latest news at the company, and then tell the world.

windows2

The type of blog posts that have been made contain useful information, such as planning permission details, product updates, customer testimonials and also articles such as:
The History of Conservatories and many other useful and interesting posts.

The main Conservatory Outlet website is already generating around 15,000 visitors per month, and it is hoped that the blog section will drive more traffic for people interested in uPVC conservatories and double glazing.

The company supplies a network of dealers in the UK, with showrooms in Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Shropshire, South Wales and Mid Wales. Each dealer has a template website of a similar layout to the main Conservatory Outlet website. Combined, these sites are generating in excess of 800 customer enquiries per month.

In the first 6 months of 2009, each of the dealers has seen impressive growth in a subdued market, and Matthew Glover puts it down to concentrating on generating leads from their websites.

“Each dealer has a Google Adwords account managed by Conservatory Outlet, and also the dealers trust us with SEO and promotion of their individual sites,” said Matthew Glover. “And this strategy is paying off!”

Each Conservatory Outlet dealer offers a full range of uPVC conservatories, orangeries, uPVC double glazed windows and doors in a range of colours and styles.

The company is looking for new dealers to share the benefits of being a part of Conservatory Outlet. They are particularly looking for high calibre installation companies in the North East of England, and the East and west Midlands.

Andrew and Matthew Glover, managing directors of West Yorkshire Windows and Conservatory Outlet respectively looked closely at what membership of the GGF could offer – and promptly committed themselves to join!

The brothers, co-organisers of GlassTalk, the highly successful event launched to provide a networking event in March when Glassex was postponed, have very successful businesses and a reputation for being at the cutting edge of window and Conservatory retail sales, extensively using television and press advertising and slick marketing.

“It all began when I asked ‘Why should I join the GGF?’ on my blog Renegade Conservatory Guy” explained Matthew. “I received a number of opinions and the balance fell in favour of joining. GlassTalk was to provide the final open debate but by then, after a visit from Ian Chisholm, we had already decided.

“There is a lot going on behind the scenes at the GGF, such as lobbying for standards, involvement in the new Building Regulations and such issues as WERS, which are enabling us to sell a lot of A Rated windows. We are both very happy to support – and be supported by – the GGF and encourage others to look closely at the benefits – and join.”

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is the primary trade association for companies that make, supply or fit flat glass and related products representing more than 60% of the industry’s turnover. As such the GGF is the recognised leading authority for employers and companies within the flat glass, glazing, window, home improvement, plastics and window film industries. This includes double glazing, Energy Efficient Windows, replacement windows, doors, conservatories, applied film, hardware, safety glazing, sealants, fire resistant glass, emergency glazing, decorative glass, secondary glazing, solar control and plastics.

The GGF provides information for homeowners, professional specifiers and anyone that is seeking professional and unbiased information on any aspect of glass and glazing in the UK. GGF members supply replacement windows, doors, conservatories and Energy Efficient Windows in all framing materials including Aluminium, PVC-U, Steel and Timber.

Architects and Specifiers are well supported with a range of literature and professional advisors to assist with all aspects of specification and related issues. GGF Members sign up to the Federation’s Code of Good Practice and are vetted before being accepted. A free conciliation service is provided for mediation between customers and supplying member companies when needed.

Conservatory Outlet is a manufacturer of uPVC double glazing, windows, doors and conservatories based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Home Improvement Gone Wrong!

f you’re looking to do some DIY around the house, maybe fit a new door, install some replacement windows, just generally shape up the house a bit. Here’s a word of warning:

It Goes Wrong!

You may be quite nifty with a hammer, a professor with a screwdriver, but when it comes to large projects, perhaps you should think twice about Doing It Yo’self.

For example take this Replacement Door that was fitted from the rear, the proprietor stupidly forgetting there was a difference in floor level on the other side.

There are several home improvement companies that offer good quality products for a decent price.

So if you’re looking at doing some good ol’ fashioned DIY, get a quote from Planet South Lakes first and see if it’s worth saving the hassle (and the pain) involved.

the following is a customer testimonial for Double Glazing Penrith:

We had our windows fitted by a different company some years ago who didn’t do a very good job. My wife and I decided that it was time to get the windows replaced.

We found the Planet South Lakes showroom which wasn’t too far away from us. This really let us see the quality of the windows for ourselves. They were very friendly and we arranged a meeting for them to come around and see our home.

double glazing windows

A sales rep visited shortly after and showed us the window designs that were available to us. We went with Sash Windows as we felt they would be the best option for us and were very happy with the design.

Thanks to your company, our windows have helped to reduce our heating bills and look fantastic. We’ll be back for our Conservatory in the future perhaps.
