Conservatory Outlet Roof
Planet South Lakes in Kendal, Cumbria install the market leading
Synseal conservatory roof system.
There are many benefits of the Synseal Roof
System. For instance, as the profile is extruded from the same compound as the frames we
manufacture, we can guarantee an exact colour match. In addition to the colour match, the shape
is followed through from the frames, which results in the only 'Complete Conservatory Package'
available on the market!
And the Synseal Roof is built to withstand the harshest
of British weather as this video highlights click to view video

Solaris PolycarbonateToday's
homeowner wants more from their conservatory. It is now seen as an extra room to be used seven
days a week, 365 days a year, whatever the weather. However, as many owners can testify, a
conservatory can become almost unusable on hot sunny days because of solar heat gain, and
uncomfortably cold in winter because of heat loss. This is because up to 80% of the sun's solar
energy passes directly through a standard polycarbonate conservatory roof, creating a
'greenhouse effect' inside, rendering the room too hot for use.
Solaris
Polycarbonate is one of the glazing options we offer for your conservatory roof. Its integral
solar protection, it prevents up to 80% of the sun's solar energy from entering the conservatory
through the roof, helping to maintain a comfortable internal temperature.
Solaris
Polycarbonate will also reduce glare by up to 86%, further to increasing comfort levels in the
conservatory. In winter, most of the heat lost escapes through the roof; with a Solaris
Polycarbonate roof, a large proportion of rising heat is radiated back into the room, helping to
maintain comfortable temperatures and reducing heating costs. Solaris polycarbonate also rejects
99% of harmful UV rays.
Solaris GlassPlanet South Lakes have access to a number of different solar control glazing options for PVC conservatories.
The main solar control option we have is our unique Solaris glass range.
The
origin and meaning of the word ‘solar’ derives from the Latin word ‘Solaris’ meaning
‘of the sun’. Solaris Glass therefore refers to the controlling ‘of the sun’.
Our solar control properties work in two ways; in summer it reduces unwanted heat
gain, yet in winter it reduces unwanted heat loss.
The way this works is down to
the treatment that the glass undergoes. From the outside, firstly, the glass contains properties
which reflect unwanted summer rays from entering your conservatory and causing it to over heat.
On the inside the glass has been treated in such a way that reduces the amount of
heat radiation and therefore heat loss. By preventing the longer wavelength ‘infrared
radiation’ to be emitted out through the glass, all Solaris Control Glass absorbs heat as it
tries to pass back through the glass and reflects it back into your room.
Planet South Lakes - PVC Window Frames Our
PVC windows, doors and conservatories are manufactured using the Synseal Synerjy profile system. Each
section of the Synerjy system is fully sculptured which gives it an elegant appearance. Synerjy
profile sections are 70mm in width (from front to back). Not only does this aid performance but
it will also help to hide existing paint lines.
All our windows are internally
glazed. We offer the Synerjy profile in a range of colours; white, light oak, mahogany, and
rosewood. The frames have the same sculptured shape as the roof system, ensuring a ‘complete’
conservatory look.
Planet South Lakes - Conservatory BaseConservatory bases can be built
in various materials including brick and stone. Wherever possible we aim to get an exact brick
match to your home, however, if this is not possible we find the closest available match. Our
experienced builders attach the correct footings and insulation required for each individual
build.
