How To Make Any Front Door Insta-Worthy
Be honest with yourself – you want your home to be the best-looking house on your street, of course you do!
To earn that accolade, it is important that your front door looks really impressive, very much like the many thousands of fancy front doors you see on Instagram when you use the hashtags #frontdoor and #frontdoors.
These photographs show you the kind of lengths you need to go to with your own front door if you want people to love your property and make your front door as Insta-worthy as anybody else’s.
To get those ‘likes’ racking up when you post a pic of your front door, think about the following:
Coloured finish
Whether repainting a front door by Cincinnati interior painting services or replacing one, your choice of colour will be one of the most important decisions to be made. The colour should complement the age and character of the house.
A classic grey, white or black-coloured finish can never fail to impress, or you could move away from those and opt for Chartwell Green, Aubergine, Duck Egg Blue or something else that’s similarly striking.
Some front doors look pretty in pink, but it will be too bold and bright for some.
Door wreath
Very few of the best ‘liked’ doors on Instagram won’t have a door wreath – they are used all-year round now, rather than just at Christmas.
Good at crafts? Why not have a go at making your own wreath. If you have better things to be doing though, just buy a premade real or fake wreath off Etsy or at a local High Street stockist.
In a summer door wreath, you will usually find the colours, orange, red and pink.
Plants
A lot of those who opt to hang a door wreath on their door, also choose to have planters placed at either side of it, and it’s a great look.
More often than not, it will be twin potted bay trees that people display next to their front door and they do help to draw attention towards an entrance.
These sort of planters need to be well looked after, otherwise they can start to die out and that wouldn’t do your front door any favours.
