Be On Trend With An Orangery

When the time comes that you want to extend your property to bring added space to your home, you have several options at your disposal. If you have a relatively unused garage you could convert it into e.g. a bedroom. If you have loft space going spare, you could again convert it into whatever best suits your needs. When you have space available at the rear of your property, a conservatory may be at the top of your list.

But there is one consideration that is missed by many homeowners, orangeries. The orangery has the ability to enlarge a home in the most sophisticated way possible as it has stunning good looks and blends in beautifully with the brickwork used to construct a property.

There are obvious similarities between orangeries and conservatories, namely the fact that they can be transformed into just about any type of room. They can act as an extension of a living room, dining room or kitchen. They will also add massive value to your home, which will come in useful if the time ever arrives when you want to sell the property for the best possible price. Double glazing is also used throughout both structures to ensure energy efficiency.

Where it does differ from a conservatory lies in the fact that rather than predominantly relying on glass and UPVC, the majority of an orangery is composed using stylish brickwork. The cost of an orangery is also higher than a conservatory, but for that extra bit of money you get even more available space to play with.

Growing numbers of homeowners are only now coming round to the idea of installing an orangery as they come to realise just how unique a structure it is. Adding one to your home will prove that you are ahead of the times.
